What is AIGC ASEAN Stories?

AIGC4GOOD ASEAN STORIES is an international AI-powered storytelling competition where students use Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) to create meaningful stories about ASEAN. Students may use text, images, animation, music, voice, video, and multimodal AI to communicate stories that celebrate Friendship, Culture, Education, Sustainability, Community, Innovation, Heritage, and Youth Leadership.
Human creativity guides AI. Prompt engineering, storytelling, creative direction, ethics, and responsible AI are equally important as the final creative output.
Participants may register individually or as a team, and both formats are judged within their respective competition categories.
Individual Participant
Perfect for independent creators who want to showcase their own ideas and AI creativity. Individual creators complete every aspect — story, AI creation, editing and presentation — independently.
Team (2–5 Students)
Ideal for collaborative storytelling with roles such as Story Director, Prompt Designer, AI Creator, Researcher, Editor and Presenter.

What Can You Create?
Projects should combine human creativity and AI-assisted production. Students are encouraged to create original content that celebrates ASEAN people, culture, and futures.
Submission Requirements
Participants may register individually or as a team. AI Workflow Documentation should clearly distinguish human-created content, AI-generated content, prompt engineering process, editing workflow, and responsible AI practices.

Competition Rules
Participation Format
Participants may register as Individual or Team (2–5 students). Both formats are judged within their respective competition categories.
Team Composition
2–5 students per team. One or two teachers or mentors are recommended. Cross-school teams are allowed where permitted by local organisers.
Project Requirements
Projects must focus on ASEAN people, culture, or innovation. Must demonstrate meaningful use of Generative AI, promote positive social impact, and be original.
AI Usage Disclosure
Disclose all AI platforms used, prompt engineering methodology, human editing process, AI-generated components, and human-created components.
Responsible AI
Respect copyright and intellectual property. Avoid misinformation and harmful stereotypes. Follow Responsible AI principles and comply with AI platform licensing terms.
Submission
All required materials (Story, Poster, AI Workflow Documentation, Project Summary, Presentation Video) must be uploaded before the published deadline.
